چکیده

Bipolar radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) strategy using two catheters may require prolonged fluoroscopy time because of challenges with positioning. Intracardiac echocardiographic images only offer limited views to help maneuver both catheters. To simultaneously visualize on the 3D mapping system for localizing target and minimizing fluoroscopy. A bipolar RFCA was set up connections grounding pad distal pins connected electrodes THERMOCOOL SMARTTOUCH® SF (Biosense Webster) 1-6-2mm spacing (Figure A). Case 1: 51-year-old male familial HCM presented VT storm which he externally cardioverted. The patient underwent during localized LV summit. Due difficulty achieving transmural lesions unipolar ablation, posteroseptal RVOT below RCC performed successful elimination clinical VT. 3rd 4th second our circuit, visualized CARTO® B). 2: 62-year-old a CRT-D cardiac sarcoidosis non-ischemic cardiomyopathy, recent endocardial in setting multiple ICD shocks. Patient repeat further substrate modification epicardial ablation. With epicardium, were visualized, dome tip created C). an extensive but remained inducible slower heart transplant evaluation. Utilizing novel set-up that allows visualization better localization less exposure.

Haemostatic partial nephrectomy using bipolar radiofrequency ablation

Objectives: To present our experience with laparoscopic radical cystoprostatectomy and bilateral nephroureterectomy for organ-confined, muscle-invasive transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) of the bladder in two patients with dialysis-dependent end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Patients and Methods: Two men aged 77 and 65 years with organ-confined, muscle-invasive TCC of the urinary bladder and pre-e...

Haemostatic partial nephrectomy using bipolar radiofrequency ablation.

OBJECTIVE To determine whether an electrode array with a bipolar radiofrequency ablation (RFA) energy source can be used to perform a haemostatic partial nephrectomy by simultaneously ablating and coagulating renal tissue. MATERIALS AND METHODS Lower-pole partial nephrectomy was performed in 12 porcine kidneys using a bipolar RFA system. Intraoperative ultrasonography was used to identify and...

Modeling bipolar phase-shifted multielectrode catheter ablation

Atrial fibrillation (AFIB) is a common clinical problem affecting approximately 0.5-1% of the United States population. Radio-frequency (RF) multielectrode catheter (MEC) ablation has successes in curing AFIB. We utilized finite-element method analysis to determine the myocardial temperature distribution after 30 s, 80 degrees C temperature-controlled unipolar ablation using three 7F 12.5-mm el...

Bipolar radiofrequency catheter ablation for refractory perimitral flutter: a case report

BACKGROUND Mitral isthmus is often targeted as a part of stepwise approach during radiofrequency ablation for persistent atrial ablation. Acute success rate in achieving the mitral isthmus block is only modest, late reconduction rate is relatively high and, consequently, incomplete lesion may be proarrhythmic. We describe the first-in-man experience with successful MI ablation by bipolar RF ene...

Bipolar radiofrequency ablation of the kidney: comparison with monopolar radiofrequency ablation.

PURPOSE We report initial ex vivo and in vivo studies using bipolar radiofrequency (RF) ablation of porcine kidneys. An internal ground electrode is positioned in the kidney opposite the RF electrode, resulting in ablation of all the intervening renal tissue. MATERIALS AND METHODS Ex vivo preparations of 10 porcine kidneys were perfused continuously with Ringer's solution and treated with eit...
